Troop 1000 is part of the Coastal Plains District of the Sam Houston Area Council. Based in Richmond, Texas, Troop 1000 is our Scouts BSA Boys Troop and was formed in 1991. The troop is chartered by Calvary Episcopal Church and meet at its facilities.
Scouting is a game, but a game with a purpose. And, with Scouting in your life comes adventure, learning, challenge and more. Interested? Then Troop 1000 is the best place to start. With trips to Norway, Iceland, Alaska, Hawaii, Big Bend National Park, Carlsbad Caverns, Colorado, California, Wyoming, Scotland, Washington State, Boundary Waters, Canada, Ireland, Adirondacks and Spain. Flags Across the Brazos
