GET INVOLVED! ADULT LEADERS NEEDED!!

All Boy Scout troops need adult leaders to guide them to success. Here at Troop 288 we are always looking for adult leaders to serve on the Troop Committee or work with the boys as an Assistant Scoutmaster. Moms, dads, grandparents, etc. are all welcome and it doesn't matter if you were an Eagle Scout or not. No special knowledge is required, just the desire to help. Training will be provided!

Scouts with parents/grandparents who invest their time and energy into scouting tend to be more dedicated and involved in the Boy Scout program, which results in them having a greater chance to enjoy the scouting program and achieve the rank of Eagle. Since 2010, the Troop 288's scouts that achieved the rank of Eagle, ALL had parents who were active in the troop in one capacity or another. Now that's a pretty telling statistic.

Even if you don't have the time to serve in an official capacity you can still contribute on a project basis such as leading a fundraising endeavor. Remember, time passes quickly, so get involved while you have the opportunity!  Please contact Committee Chair Valerie Lopes or Scoutmaster Jim Lopes to see how you can contribute to the troop.
